In our kids programmes we focus firstly on building up vocabulary. In addition to that, we foster speaking, reading, and writing skills. At this stage the most important thing is that kids enjoy making progress in English, so we use lots of games and classroom activities to keep things interesting for them.
Outline of our reading/writing programme.
Stage 1 - Learning ABCs. Students learn to recognise letters, write them, and associate each letter with a sound.
Stage 2 - Learning three letter words. Students practise combining letter sounds into words.
Stage 3 - Learning sight words. Students learn important sight words to give them a head start for reading textbook materials.
Stage 4 - Learning sentences. Students learn to combine words into sentences as they begin to make a more in-depth study of grammar patterns and conversation structures.
